At Southside Church, missions is not just a program—it’s an outflow of our calling as followers of Christ. We exist to glorify God by making disciples, and that mission extends far beyond the walls of our building. From the neighborhoods of Clayton, NC, to the nations across the globe, we are passionate about sharing the good news of Jesus with those who have not yet heard or believed.
💬 What Is Missions?
“Mission” is outreach to those who are not believers in Christ with the intent to be used by God to challenge and inspire them to place their faith in Christ for salvation.
It is primarily done outside of the church—in our local community, across our nation, and throughout the world. We participate in missions by praying, giving, going, and sending.
Our goal is simple yet eternal: to proclaim the gospel, demonstrate Christ’s love, and equip others to follow Him faithfully.
Local Ministries
We believe God has placed us in our community for a purpose. Through local partnerships, we aim to bring the hope of Christ to those facing crisis, hardship, or brokenness right here in our backyard.
We are actively involved in and support the following local ministries:
iChoose Pregnancy Center
Supporting women and families with life-affirming resources and gospel hope.
House of Hope
Ministering to teens and families in crisis through residential programs and biblical counseling.
With Love from Jesus
Providing food, clothing, and compassion in the name of Christ to those in need in our area.
International Missions
The call to missions doesn’t stop at our borders. Southside supports gospel work across the globe through relationships and partnerships that make a lasting impact. We are committed to equipping and sending disciples into the world with the good news of Jesus Christ.
We currently support and engage with missions in:
Kenya
Church planting, discipleship, and community outreach in both urban and rural regions.
India
Evangelism and leadership development in areas of great spiritual need and gospel resistance.
Croatia
Supporting missionaries and ministries focused on discipleship, church strengthening, and gospel access in a post-Christian context.
